House Republican leaders are planning to vote Tuesday to pass a government funding package approved by the Senate, three days after a shutdown began. Funding lapsed on Saturday amid divisions in Congress over changes to the Department of Homeland Security in the wake of agents killing two U.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said Sunday morning that his caucus will meet later in the day to map out its next steps over its demands for reforms to the Department of Homeland Security as a partial government shutdown went into its second day.

The federal government is partially shut down this weekend. Congress failed to fund some of the largest agencies and departments before a Friday night deadline. Caitlin Huey-Burns has more.
